What is Micro-needling?

Micro-needling, also known as collagen induction therapy, involves the use of a specialised device equipped with fine, sterile needles. These needles create controlled micro-injuries on the skin’s surface, stimulating the production of collagen and elastin (essential proteins for maintaining skin elasticity and firmness).

How does Micro-needling work?

The micro-injuries caused by Micro-needling trigger the body’s natural healing process. This process results in increased collagen and elastin production, which helps to repair and renew the skin, giving it a more youthful and vibrant appearance.

The process of Micro-needling:

  1. Skin analysis in the consultation.
  2. Double cleanse.
  3. Numbing.
  4. Skin preparation.
  5. Micro-needling with special serum.
  6. Use a non-active moisturiser.
  7. (optional) LED light therapy session to further enhance the benefits.
  8. Follow the aftercare guidance.

What are the main benefits of Micro-needling?

  • Reduction of fine lines and wrinkles – Micro-needling stimulates collagen production, helping to diminish the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, and giving your skin a smoother, more youthful look.
  • Enhanced skin texture – improve the overall texture of your skin by reducing roughness and promoting a softer, more even surface.
  • Scar reduction – effectively minimise the appearance of scars, including acne scars, for a clearer and more refined complexion.
  • Pore size reduction – Micro-needling can help to reduce the size of enlarged pores, resulting in a smoother and more polished appearance.
  • Improved absorption of skincare products – post-treatment, your skin is more receptive to topical treatments, enhancing the efficacy of your skincare routine.
  • Evens skin tone and pigmentation – address issues such as hyperpigmentation and sunspots, leading to a more uniform and balanced skin tone.

  • Have any kind of current skin infection condition or herpes simplex in the area to be treated.
