Permanent cosmetic procedures have had far reaching benefits in the paramedical field for the following medical conditions:
- Alopecia
- Scarring
- Cleft lip
- Vitiligo
- Areola
- Loss of hair due to cancer
- Allergies
- Trichotillomania
These conditions can have a devastating impact on the way we look and feel. Through the use of permanent cosmetics, your confidence and self-esteem can be restored!
Alopecia
For those who have lost their hair, eyebrows or eyelashes, permanent makeup could be perfect solution for you! You can choose either a natural hairstroke or a soft ombre eyebrow, which will be shaped to suit your facial features. You can also have subtle liner around your eyes to give the appearance of eyelashes.
Scar Camouflage
Light coloured scars can be camouflaged using medical tattooing, during which ‘prescriptive’ skin coloured pigments are infused into the scar to minimise its appearance.
For the best results, scars should be:
- At least 1 year old
- Paler than the surrounding skin
- Not noticeably raised nor sunk
- Have a smooth texture
It’s important that scar camouflage is carried out when the skin has had minimal sun exposure because the ‘prescriptive’ pigments must match the natural skin colour. If the pigments are colour matched with tanned skin, there will be a noticeable difference when the tan fades and the pigment doesn’t. The reverse also needs to be considered and clients must accept that sun exposure needs to be minimal once the scar has been camouflaged.
Areola
For clients who have undergone breast surgery and subsequently lost a nipple, paramedical permanent cosmetics can give the appearance of a nipple using clever shading techniques! Please book a free consultation with Faye to discuss how she can help you complete your journey.
Cleft Lip Repair & Pigmentation Correction
Cleft lip and pigmentation restoration can create an enhanced and balanced appearance of the lips. By using a ‘prescriptive’ pigment that matches your natural lip, Faye can help you to achieve:
- A symmetrical lip-line and cupids bow
- An improved shape
- Increased definition
Cover Ups & Corrections
Old permanent cosmetic work can be improved using correctional techniques. Results of these procedures cannot be guaranteed because they are experimental in nature and the success is dependent on the quality of the original application. Multiple treatments are often required to get the best results and prices may vary depending on the work required.
Scalp Micro-pigmentation
Cosmetic tattooing is the perfect solution for hair loss irregularities due to:
- Scars from injury or surgery
- Scars formed from donor sites in hair transplant surgery
- Hair loss or thinning in females, especially in the hairline or the crown of the scalp
- Hair loss due to Trichotillomania
- As well as many other causes
