Lighten, Improve or Remove
Your expectations will be thoroughly discussed in the consultation, before we create a treatment plan bespoke to you. Clients’ goals range from wanting to slightly lighten their tattoo, to wanting it completely removed. Fresh tattoos are easier to correct and remove, but older tattoos can still be transformed within a few sessions.
Colour or Shape Correction
Colour or shape correction in permanent cosmetic tattooing involves adjusting or modifying existing tattoos to improve their appearance. This process can address issues such as faded pigments, undesired colour changes, or incorrect shapes that no longer align with the client’s preferences. We use advanced techniques and custom-blended pigments to correct and enhance the existing tattoo, ensuring a more natural and aesthetically pleasing result.
Permanent Cosmetic Tattoo Removal
Permanent cosmetic tattoo removal is a process used to eliminate unwanted permanent makeup. This can be necessary due to changes in personal style, dissatisfaction with previous work, or shifting trends. We use saline solution (a gentle yet concentrated hypertonic solution) to remove cosmetic tattoos, which dries out the area to facilitate lifting and removal of the pigment during the skin’s natural healing process.
We can remove permanent tattoos on your eyebrows (including those that are microbladed), lips and scalp. We do not offer tattoo removal on the body or eyes, but we can help to improve undesirable eyeliner through colour and shape correction methods.
The removal process is dependent on multiple factors:
- The age of the tattoo.
- The number of colourboosts.
- The type of tattoo and pigments used.
- If you have used other removal methods.
- Skin type and health conditions.
We recommend mentally and financially committing to a course of 3 treatments to enable a greater assessment of how easily the pigment is removing from your skin. We will analyse how deep the pigment sits in the skin, whether the area is saturated with pigment and if the skin is stained. Initially, the pigment will appear darker before it gets lighter as it travels to the skin’s surface. After each session, there will be less pigment in the skin which makes the removal process easier and the results can begin to show.
Most clients see improvements after 2 or 3 sessions, but we cannot give you an exact number of sessions to fully remove unwanted pigment. That being said, you will be able to understand the removal process and know what you’re in for.
The benefits of using saline solution for tattoo removal:
- Gentle during treatment: Saline solution pH closely resembles healthy skin, meaning only a mild sting is experienced (which disappears very quickly). The formula includes Aloe Vera which deeply penetrates the solution into the skin, without needing to over traumatise you or your skin.
- Quickly dries skin, forming a thin scab: Skin treated with saline solution starts to dry out within the first few hours. For you, this means minimal inflammation and associated risk of scarring, as well as a reduced likelihood of getting an infection.
- Tattoos can look better during the healing process: Many clients worry what they will look like during the healing stage, but the treated area usually looks better! Unwanted grey or orange eyebrows will look shades of brown during the healing process, creating a more appealing look.
- After 48 hours you can shower and use aftercare: When the treated skin is fully dried, you can begin using the prescribed aftercare serum which makes scabbing and healing a more pleasant experience.
